People, places & events -An international network of some 80 publishing professionals from 20 countries from Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, India, USA, China to Japan. -The opportunity to spend more time together than conventional fairs and associations allow. -Annual Summer Meetings over the last weekend in June that offer a unique mix of business and pleasure over individual meetings at the Motovun Rights Centre, lectures and seminars, excursions, lunches and dinners. -The Summer Meetings are arranged in a variety of attractive destinations. These include Stockholm/Sigtuna, Budapest, Dresden, Plasencia in Spain, Lucerne, and Motovun, Croatia. -Dinners at Frankfurt and London and a Drinks Party during the BEA. -Special Motovun trips to important countries: India (2006), China (2010 tbc).
Communication -Motovun brings publishers and other book people together and creates a context in which business and friendships can be developed. -The Motovun website features its members free of charge. -Excellent lectures by experts from a variety of business areas. -Access to the Motovun Book Fair stands at Frankfurt and London. -Priority information and booking to all Motovun events.
Business -Motovun members have created hundreds of books together. -Sales and purchases made by Motovun members amongst themselves exceed Euro 2 million. -Network with printers, designers, translators and other book people in addition to publishers. -Consult with Motovun’s worldwide network of Members and their guests about best practices on a wide variety of matters. -Use of the Motovun Rights Centre at Summer Meetings when individual meetings can be arranged in an informal yet professional way. -Access to specialist interest groups within Motovun and a wide variety of book people.
